<p>A long sheath (24) accommodating a sensor (36) has its opening (31) closed with a plug (40). Wires (42,44) from the sensor pass through the hole in the plug and come out of either of the two apertures (33) on the sides of the sheath. The sheath is fixed to the leading edge of the door. The sheath gets compressed under an external force, e.g. applied by an object coming in the way of the door being closed. The sensor responds to the applied force. An electrical circuitry to which the sensor is connected by wires controls the closing operation of the door.</p> |
