The jaws of the boot are moved by a piston which is operated by two connection circuits. One circuit exerts a rate of increase of about 0% whereas the other circuit exerts a negative rate of increase less than the first. The rate of increase is the ratio between the release threshold of the base on the ski defined by ASTM standard 1-7 and the release threshold according to test 1-1 of this standard. The boot front retainer comprises a base (3) which is connected to the ski. Jaws (5,6) are laterally movable against a return spring (15). A support plate receiving the boot sole tips about a longitudinal median axis (42) and is connected to the spring or jaws by a piston (16). The piston has two connection circuits which are each activated during tipping of the plate. The circuits exert a different action on the jaws or spring. |
