摘要 The thin layer medium for magnetic recording can be applied in magnetoresistive recording method, and the medium for magneto-optical recording is used in a megneto-optical recording method. The medium is in the form of a hard substrate of preferably, but not mandatorily, form of a disc, having a configuration of thin layer coatings fitted on it consisting of different magnetic layers (layer), an auxiliary layer (layers) and protection layer (layers). The magnetic layer is of stoichiometric composition with the formula (R11-mR2m)1-x) (A11-n A2n)x Mn0y where R1 & R2 are rare eath elements La, Nd, Sm, Pr, Eu, Gd, Dy, Er, Yb, Lu or Y; A1 & A2 are bivalent elements Ca, Sr, Ba, Pb, Bi; x has the value of 0.1-0.5; y is 2.5-3.2; m is 0-1 and n has the value of 0-1. The auxiliary protection layers are of LaAl03, Mg0, YSZ, NdGa03, Si0 and SiN. The recording, reading or rerecording of information is made at relatively low magnetic fields and at different temperatures selected depending on the required sensitivity of the recording, specified by the type and characteristics of the used device. The production method of the medium is performed following a specified sequence of processes of magnetron sputtering of a target of specific composition depending on the type of the layer, followed by a retention and annealing in gas medium by an oxygen and argon composition. 5 claims, 3 figures
