The present invention provides the use of PEG-IFN-alpha conjugates in association with ribavirin for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infections. The present invention also provides a method for treating chronic hepatitis C infections in patients in need of such treating comprising administering an amount of PEG-IFN-alphaconjugate in association with an amount of ribavirin effective to treat hepatitis C.
