<p>A mounting system (1) attaches the welding equipment close to a fixed plastic pipe (5) and supports mechanisms (23, 10, 2) for moving a pipe end heater (26) and a clamp (22), holding a pipe (42) to be welded onto the fixed pipe, to and from the latter. The movement mechanisms comprise a reciprocator (23) for moving the pipe to be welded and a sliding and rotating mechanism (2, 10) for heater movement. Both the reciprocator and the heater movement mechanism are attached to a guide rod (18) on which the heater, heater support (21) and the pipe clamp are mounted. The sliding and rotating mechanism comprises a swiveling rail (2) on a baseplate and an axially moving slide (10) on the rail.</p> |
