<p>The electro-mechanical clockwork mechanism is capable of indicating the time and other clockwork-identifying data. The clock (1) involved can be e.g. a quartz clock, in which indicatory devices (12) are driven by a step motor (11). They can indicate seconds, minutes and hours and even the date and moon phases. The function of the step motor is regulated by the clockwork mechanism, which incorporates a frequency reference component, such as a quartz oscillator and an inhibition connection with a memory component. The operation of the step motor, e.g. the duration of the interval between each successive step of the motor, is determined by the contents of the memory component. The motor is fed by current impulses from the clockwork, which produce a short, but relatively strong electromagnetic field, which can also be received outside the clock housing by a function measurement apparatus (2) which incorporates a coil-type antenna (20).</p> |
