The invention relates to processes for obtaining isothiocyanatochalcones which may be used as precursors for the synthesis of certain chalcones of medicinal and cosmetic use. The claimed process includes condensation of 1,1-dimethyl-3-(3- or 4-acetylphenyl)thioureas with substituted aromatic aldehydes, with obtaining of N,N-dimethylthioureidochalcones which are deaminized in an inert solution at their heating with mineral acids (H2SO4, HCl in dioxane) or with acetic anhydride (in benzene or toluole), taken respectively in equimolar ratio.
