A hanging planter is to be so configured that its useful life is significantly increased and such that no mechanical connecting elements or tools are required to connect its individual components. According to the present invention, a first embodiment of the planter consists of a flower box (28) and at least two flower box holders (10) that are manufactured from a durable material, preferably a plastic.
