A joint sealant composition (I) based on a vinyl ester-ethylene copolymer or acrylic acid ester polymer is in the form of an aqueous dispersion or a dispersible powder. (I) optionally contains fillers, plasticisers, thickeners, dispersants, defoamer, preservative, pigment and water. (I) contains 0.01-1.0 wt.% alkylalkoxysilane (II) of formula SiRn(OR')4-n (1), where R' = 1-8C alkyl or monoalkylglycol; R = 1-8C alkyl, optionally substituted with halogen, preferably chlorine, ether, ester, amide, hydroxyl, amine, carboxyl, epoxy, carboxylic acid anhydride or carbonyl groups; and n = 1-3. |
