The invention relates to a method for establishing in vivo, the efficient concentration of deuterium-depleted water for treating cancer, in test animals, the method consisting in administering the deuterium-depleted water before and after the tumoral graft with animal grafts and it has the following stages: A) administering the deuterium-depleted water at concentrations of 25, 60 and 100 ppm deuterium to rats by diet, for 60 days, comparatively to witness-lots, with a content of 150 ppm deuterium in the network water; B) establishing the viability of the tumoral cells to be grafted, with tripan blue; C) grafting various tumoral cells in test rats and in the witness-lots; D) monitoring the effects of the continuous and long-lasting administration of the deuterium-depleted water; E) establishing the efficient concentration of deuterium-depleted water for tumoral regression and cancer healing.
