FIELD: fire safety, particularly investigating or analyzing materials by the use of thermal means. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves determining timber structure distribution inside building, geometrical timber structure dimensions and conditions of weak (design) sections heating by fire; determining threshold or critical charcoal layer thickness, density, strength and humidity of wood in natural conditions and defining charring rate from nomogram. ^ EFFECT: possibility of charring rate determination without fire tests, increased timber quality control reliability and reduced test costs. ^ 13 cl, 1 dwg |
