FIELD: installation of cathode units of aluminum electrolyzers. ^ SUBSTANCE: metal box with holes for passing the cathode rod is located on electrolyzer front surface and is secured to lined cathode casing provided with ports for passing cathode rods. Cathode rod is provided with seal around it which is made from fluid self-hardening material. Seal is placed in metal box, in gap formed by cathode rod and wall of cathode casing and in well between wall of casing and its lining projecting beyond boundaries of ports for passing the cathode rod by at least 10 mm. ^ EFFECT: enhanced protection and durability of lining. ^ 1 dwg |
