A pharmaceutical composition for improving cerebral function is disclosed. It comprises synergistically effective amounts of the following ingredients (A) and (B). Ingredient (A) is described to be an alkyl ether derivative of the formula (I). R1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group; R3 and R4, which may be the same or different, each represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or R3 and R4 taken conjointly with the nitrogen atom to which R3 and R4 are linked, form a substituted or unsubstituted cyclic amino group; m represents an integer of 1 to 5; and n represents an integer of 1 to 6. Ingredient (B) is described to be compound having an acetylcholine esterase inhibitory activity or a salt thereof, which is different from ingredient (A).
