Dewatered pulp 200 is introduced to a "shaftless" screw conveyor 202 and is then deposited onto a moving belt conveyor 204 forming uneven quantities of pulp 206. The pulp is then leveled, typically by a rotary doctor 208. The pulp is then fed at an constant rate to a pulp flaker.
