The device has noise reduction ribs (317) which are mounted in an air exhaust tube (314) in a whirlpool chamber. The reduction ribs project on a lower wall of the exhaust tube in direction of center of the exhaust tube. The ribs comprise a curved part which is disposed at an inlet of the exhaust tube and a rectilinear part that is disposed on an outlet of the exhaust tube. An independent claim is also included for a vacuum cleaner comprising a cyclonic separating device.
