The method involves initializing a table (M1) with units, each corresponding to a sector of a storing unit. The unit corresponding to a sector is modified at the time of modification of that sector. The unit of the table is not modified at the time of the modification of the sector corresponding to the unit, if the unit has already been modified. The table is then reinitialized at the time of occurrence of a preset event. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method for complete or incremental safeguard of a digital storage unit (b) a method for partial safeguard of a digital storage unit (c) a controller for a digital storage unit. |
