摘要 The OLYMPIA ELECTRONICS company has created an addressed fire detection system with the BSR-1116 code, which system is composed of a central unit and exclusive-use peripheral accessories (photo 1). The addressed fire detection system has been realized with the OEB serial communication protocol (Olympia Electronic Bus protocol) entirely developed by the OLYMPIA ELECTRONICS company and employed exclusively by it. More precisely, the serial communication protocol of the OLYMPIA ELECTRONICS is the method through which information are transmitted from the central unit of the system towards the peripheral devices and vice versa. This serial communication protocol allows the point event detection (fire, fault etc), a function, which is offering significant advantages versus conventional event detection methods using control regions. Communication is obtained by use of a differential bus topology transmitting voltage to the devices and data for the communication of same devices with the central unit. The form of the transmitted data (groups or packets of data) is defined by the OEB protocol (Olympia Electronic Bus protocol) determining the composition of these packets. The interrupted and unaffected by external factors (e.g. noise) communication of the connected devices is obtained through use of the disclosed herein protocol.
