The system has a steering column lever (1) driven in movement by a steering column and two tie rods (5d, 5g). The rods cooperate with the lever by means of two corresponding articulations constituted of hinge shafts (2, 4d, 4g) and connecting yokes (3d, 3g, 51d, 51g). The articulations comprise of only two degrees of freedom. The hinge shaft (2) is common to the two articulations.
