The invention relates to a bin comprising a security system. The inventive bin is equipped with sensors which ensure that terrorist groups will no longer be able to use bins or receptacles as containers for explosive devices in order to carry out terrorist actions. According to the invention, each bin is equipped with a bi-directional radio transmitter and a highly-miniaturised, latest-generation microprocessor which is powered by a lithium battery and which has a life of up to two years. In the absence of incidences, both the microprocessor and the transmitter remain in the latent state. Once an emergency has been detected, the microprocessor communicates, via radio using an encrypted code, with a receiver or group of receivers which in turn generates a confirmation message. The receivers are connected to a PC on which the client can integrate the application along with other safety systems, or generate a specific unique program on a standard PC, and with a local support.
