PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tiller which can solve such troubles that both the lateral sides of an elastic cover member are brought into contact with tilling tines or entangled with the tilling tines, when lifted. SOLUTION: This rotary tiller 1 in which the sheet-like elastic cover member 7 is hung from the rear end portion of a rotary cover 5 for covering the upper side of the tilling tine shaft 3 is characterized by disposing a bending-preventing member 12 for preventing the forward bending of the elastic cover member 7 at the vertically central position of the elastic cover member 7.
