LUMINAIRE FOR STREET LIGHTING

The luminaire for street lighting in urban areas has a reflector (1) with a plane of symmetry (2) which is perpendicular to a light-emanating window (4). The reflector (1) has a top panel (10) which extends at an acute angle from the light-emanating window (4). Main portions (20,20') of the reflector extend from said window (4) to the top panel (10) and so do auxiliary portions (40,40'), located closer to a central portion (30) of the reflector. The luminaire may be compact but, when installed aside a street, is nevertheless able to light the street in two directions evenly and with a high efficiency.
