There are provided an image recording method and an image recording device capable of quantizing image data, calculating the ink discharge amount per recording dot in a predetermined recording area, and thins recording dots by applying a thinning pattern to an area of a predetermined ink discharge amount or above according to the ink type and the recording medium type, thereby controlling overlap of the ink to the same pixel and suppressing generation of the convex/concave irregularities on the recording medium. |
