<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface circuit which can be used in the desired format of P1 type and P2 type with the fast speed of response. <P>SOLUTION: When an interface circuit is used in a P1 type, terminals T4 and T6 are connected, and when the interface circuit is used in a P2 type, terminals T5 and T6 are connected, and terminals T7 and T8 are connected. When a vehicle sensing signal/D is turned into an "L" level of an activation level, a photo-transistor 6 is not made conductive in the case of the P1 type, and a non-conductive status between output terminals T2 and T3 is set, and the photo-transistor 6 is made conductive in the case of the P2 type, and a conductive status between the output terminals T2 and T3 is set.
