<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain a player's expectation during a variable display of symbols. <P>SOLUTION: A chance pattern determination means 138 determines whether or not stationarily stopping a chance pattern formed by combining regular symbols and chance symbols. A display control means 160 sequentially stationarily displays a plurality of symbol alignments to constitute a predetermined symbol combination according to a lottery result. The display control means 160, when stationarily displaying the chance pattern, restarts the variable display of the symbols.
