PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embolic coil distribution system with a U-shaped filament release mechanism. SOLUTION: This distribution system 10, which is a medical device designed to deploy a certain embolic device including a certain embolic coil at a prescribed region in an in vivo vessel, includes a certain distribution catheter 12 and a certain flexible pusher member 16 placed inside the catheter 12 in a way that it can freely slide into its inner hole. The embolic device 24 is releasably placed inside the tip of the pusher member, being held by a detachable filament 38 having a U-shaped tip.
