PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller in which a transfer rate capable of coping with the increase in the amount of display data is realized with low power consumption and to provide a display unit and an electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The display controller includes a memory means for storing the display data, a first display data receiving means for receiving the display data of a bit width K, a first bit width converting means for converting the display data of the bit width K to a bit width L (L is a natural number greater than K), a second display data receiving means for receiving the display data via a parallel pulse of a bit width N (N is a natural number), a second bit width converting means for converting the display data of the bit width N to the bit width L (L is a natural number greater than N), a display data writing means for writing down the display data of the bit width L converted by the first or the second bit width converting means to the memory means, and a display driving means for display driving the display element based on the the display data read out of the memory means.
