A method for packaging medications according to the invention may include dividing each of a plurality of medicinal ta+ets into a respective plurality of tablet portions, separating the tablet portions to form a first plurality of tablet portions and a second plurality of tablet portions, and packaging the pluralities of tablet portions as separate packages. A first plurality of the tablet portions may have a first shape while a second plurality of the tablet portions has a second shape that is different from the first shape.
