Preparation of a saturated six membered organic ring compound (I) (with two different hydrogen substituents arranged in trans to each other, where the first and second substituents are linked with ring carbon atoms (at 1- and 4- positions)) comprises conversion of corresponding compound (II) (with two different hydrogen substituents arranged in cis to each other) or a mixture containing (II) with fluoride-containing compounds.
