PURPOSE: An activated carbon filter housing for water dispenser is provided, in which water is purified twice by flowing through two filter chambers in a pattern of eddy flow to increase filter efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The filter housing comprises a cylindrical main body(10), a 1st and a 2nd filter chambers(11,12) and a 1st and a 2nd filter cartridges(13,14). The cylindrical main body(10) is divided into the 1st and the 2nd filter cartridges(13,14) to form the 1st and the 2nd chambers(11,12) by partition wall(9) having porous holes, the diameter of hole being one third to one second of the diameter of the cylindrical main body(10), is filled with activated carbon and covered with caps(15,16) respectively. Water flows through an inlet(3) at the 1st filter cartridge(13) and discharge through an outlet(5) at the 2nd filter cartridge(14) to be purified twice through the two chambers(11,12).
