PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the installation cost and the operating cost of an air heat source heat pump type air conditioner, by preventing the air conditioner from having deterioration of its ability when a strong wind is blowing and having an operational fault caused by infiltration of rainwater, and by making the air conditioner cope with air conditioning in various special environments. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is equipped with first and second compression type heat pumps C, C and an outside air duct B provided with at least a pair of the condensers 3 of the heat pump C with an exhaust fan 5 between, in a casing 1. Component parts of the heat pump C are disposed between a plurality of condensers 3 and a cone-shaped cover 7 which at least covers a compressor 4 and waterproof components among those components and the top of which faces the exhaust fan 5 is provided. The first evaporator 2a of the first heat pump C and the second evaporator 2b of the second heat pump C are disposed in this order in the air sending direction. The condensers 3 are shared by both the first heat pump C and the second heat pump C, and the first evaporator 2a and the second evaporator 2b are structured so as to make coolant evaporation and refrigerant condensation switchable. One or two humidifiers 10 are disposed at either one spot or both spots out of the spot between the first evaporator 2a and the second evaporator 2b, and the spot on the leeward of the second evaporator 2b.
