PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel tower raising device facilitating installing work with less limitations in use. SOLUTION: The steel tower raising device comprises a pedestal 3 on which a transmission steel tower 17 is installed to be raised and which is installed on the ground, a columnar body 5 extending upward from the pedestal 3 in a space between supporting columns 17a of the transmission steel tower 17, a frame body 7 vertically movable being guided by the columnar body 5 while surrounding the columnar body 5, a plurality of arms 9 overhanging from the upper and lower ends of the frame body 7 toward the supporting columns 17a of the transmission steel tower 17, grippers 33 provided at the tip ends of the arms 9 for gripping the supporting columns 17a of the transmission steel tower 17, a drive mechanism for vertically moving the frame body 7 with a plurality of chains 13 connected to the frame body 7 and a plurality of drive units 11 corresponding to the plurality of chains 13, detecting means 41, 43 for detecting information corresponding to the inclination of the transmission steel tower 17, and a control part 15 for individually controlling the operation of the plurality of drive units 11 in accordance with the information detected by the detecting means 41, 43.
