PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithographic printing plate and a machining method thereof which enable further improvement in respect to an end part stain of the lithographic printing plate. SOLUTION: A tilt angleθ<SB>1</SB>of a tilt part 70 provided in the outer peripheral surface of a pressing roller 22 disposed in a shear section 92 of a shearing part is made about 83-87°and a tilt part 132 provided in the outer peripheral surface of an upper roller 120 disposed in a pressing part 94 is formed in a shape being deformed in the vertical direction by about 3μm for about 5μm in the horizontal direction in relation to the surface 12A of a web 12. By pressing the end part of the web 12 in a plurality of times by each of the tilt parts 70 and 132 in this constitution, a prescribed amount of crack can be brought about in the surface of the web 12. By bringing about the crack in the surface of the web 12 in this way, a finisher can be made to get into the crack on the occasion of rubber coating and hydrophilicity can be improved. Therefore the hydrophilicity of the web 12 can be improved without using silicate and thus ink can be made to hardly stick. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
