PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammering tool capable of suppressing generation of vibrations and noises. SOLUTION: The hammering tool is equipped with a motor, a converting mechanism to convert the rotating motions of the motor into reciprocation of a piston, a motor cover to accommodate at least a part of both of the motor and the converting mechanism, a hammer to reciprocate with fluctuation of the pneumatic pressure in an air chamber caused by reciprocation of the piston, and a tip tool holding member to hold a tip tool, and is arranged to perform a specified operation by transmitting a striking force from the hammer to the tip tool, wherein the partition of a motor chamber 3a of the motor cover 3 from its crank chamber 3b is formed by a partitioning rib 3h approximately in straight form, and reinforcing ribs (1)3i and (2)3j are provided being directed from the side wall 3e of the crank chamber 3b approximately toward the center of the motor chamber 3a.
