PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray dryer capable of reducing the dispersion of the particle size of prepared granules and efficiently preventing impurities from getting mixed. SOLUTION: The spray dryer has a slurry discharge part 5a for discharging a slurry, a holding part 6, 7a for holding the slurry discharge part 5a and a rotary disk 3 spraying the slurry discharged from the slurry discharge part 5a in a radial manner. An upper plate 33 is formed on the rotary disk 3, and a slit or a through-hole is formed at least at one of parts superposing the upper plate 33 on the holding part 6, 7a viewed from a rotary shaft 4 of the rotary disk 3.
