MANUFACTURING METHOD OF OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM, AND OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical recording medium by which the optical recording medium provided with a hard coat layer and having a reflection layer whose deterioration and corrosion are effectively suppressed can be manufactured at low costs and with high productivity, and to provide the optical recording medium provided with the hard coat layer having excellent optical characteristics at low costs.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the optical recording medium is characterized in that the hard coat layer is formed on the laser beam incident surface of a substrate having light transmissivity by using a UV curing resin composition containing a reaction initiator which does not contain sulfur atoms and chlorine atoms as constituent atoms and a reflection layer is formed on the surface of the side opposite to the hard coat layer of the substrate by using a material consisting of Ag by a vapor deposition method. The optical recording medium is provided with the hard coat layer which does not contain sulfur atoms and chlorine atoms originating from the reaction initiator on the laser beam incident surface of the substrate.
