<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly install a fuel injector, a ignition plug and a fuel rail on the cylinder head upper surface between a cam shaft at an intake side and a cam shaft at an exhaust side. <P>SOLUTION: In a cylinder direct injection multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, there are arranged the fuel injector 4 and the ignition plug 3 in the almost middle part of a combustion chamber 2. The ignition plug 3 is arranged in the cylinder head 1, inclining in the cylinder row direction. A bolt hole 29 is arranged on the upper part of an ignition plug setting hole 20 to secure the fuel rail 24 for feeding the fuel into the fuel injector 4 of each cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
