<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic shelf-label system having a small effect on the arrangements of commodities and shelves and enabling a stable communication even during a time when a man and an article come and go near the shelves. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic shelf-label system using weak radio waves for a radio communication, magnetic-field antennas arranged in the direction picking up magnetic fields generated in the shelves by radio waves transmitted by a transceiver are used as antennas incorporated into electronic shelf labels. A small-sized loop antenna and a bar antenna are used as the magnetic-field antenna.
