摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte film having a small swelling degree against water, alcohol, especially, methanol, showing low permeability of hydrogen gas and methanol, and to provide a membrane-electrode junction and a fuel cell using the electrolyte film.

SOLUTION: The multi-layered electrolyte film has two or more of electrolyte layers containing a hydrocarbon based polymer having an acid generating group, and an ion exchange amount of one layer included in the above polymer is different from that of the other layer. The fuel cell having the membrane-electrode junction composed of the above multi-layered electrolyte and the electrode is provided.
