PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the vertical frame material of a door frame which can effectively use waste material resources, can be manufactured by a simple process, and can surely be fitted with attachments such as a doorstop, a strike, and a door hinge by setscrews while trying to reduce the weight of a molding. SOLUTION: When the vertical frame material 1 of the door frame is manufactured by kneading cellulose powder and a thermoplastic binder resin and extruding the mixture in the shape of a rod while a hollow part 12 is formed, a doorstop fitting channel 11 is formed in a place into which a doorstop material 2 is inserted. At the same time, in the vertical frame material 1, the wall thickness of a place into which the setscrews 31 for fixing the attachments 3 such as the strike and the door hinges are fitted is increased to strengthen the holding force of the setscrews 31.
