PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device having high security for confidential documents and provided with an image accumulation function capable of selecting a level of safety according to a situation. SOLUTION: A control part 7 carries out control for accumulating, in an image accumulation device 3, image data read from a reading device 1 by encrypting the image data or without encrypting them based on necessity of encryption directed from a direction input part 8, a period up to data erasure or the like. When an image data valid period expires, an image data erasure device 4 asks an erasure information storage part 5 about an image starting address and capacity from an image ID number in order to erase the image.
