PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact air conditioner for performing indoor air-conditioning operation with high energy efficiency. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 20 is provided with a circulating means 2 for freeing heating circulating operation so as to ventilate air in a room by heating the air sucked in an intake passage 9 from the inside of the room by a heater 1 arranged in its intake passage 9, and an exhaust means 3 free for exhaust operation for exhausting the air by making a part of the air flowing in the heater 1 arranged in the intake passage 9 flow in an exhaust passage 10. A desiccant rotor 4 free for dehumidifying operation for dehumidifying air flowing in the intake passage 9 and regenerated by the air flowing in the exhaust passage 10, is arranged over the intake passage 9 and the exhaust passage 10 so as to flow to the heater 1 after dehumidifying the air sucked from the inside of the room.
