PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of preventing delay of starting a vehicle motion control device, and prevent large behaviors at the time of control. SOLUTION: This vehicle control device 1 comprises a tire force estimation means 11, a slip angle estimation means 12, a tire temperature estimation means 13, a vehicle characteristic estimation means 14, and a VSC device 15. The tire temperature estimation means 13 estimates the temperature of the tire based on a tire force outputted from the tire force estimation means 11 and a slip angle outputted from the slip angle estimation means 12, and outputs the estimated temperature to the vehicle characteristic estimation means 14. The vehicle characteristic estimation means 14 obtains vehicle characteristics based on the tire temperature, so as to judge whether an operation threshold of the VSC device 15 is to be changed or not.
