PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the detection of the opening state of a front cover member however slight the angle of opening may be while being provided with an open/close detector easily detachable from the front cover member. SOLUTION: The game machine has the front member 8, a base member 22 with a glass unit 28 mounted thereon and a turnable free end reinforcing plate 53 for reinforcing the turnable free end side of the front cover member 8. Formed on the base member 22 are a rear opening part 61 which is opened on the rear of the front cover member 8 on the side of its turnable free end and a detector mounting part enabling the mounting of the open/close detector 33 on it. The free end reinforcing plate 53 is provided with retaining pieces 53a, two on the upper hand and one on the lower hand in the vertical way and a plate opening part 72 opened communicating with the rear opening part 61 between two upper retaining pieces 53a. The open/close detector 33 is mounted on the detection mounting part with the detection part 33a kept protruding via the plate opening part 72 from the rear opening part 61.
