ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM USING INDIVIDUAL AUTHENTICATION BY POSITION INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic voting system which is effective in preventing illegal voting by enabling a voter who has registered desired voting place information to vote at the place that only the voter oneself knows. SOLUTION: This electronic voting system equipped with a terminal device equipped with a receiving means for a radio wave from a GPS(Global Positioning System) satellite and an election information center which can communicate with the terminal device authenticates access from the terminal by using an ID and a password having been registered, detects position information on the terminal device with a GPS position signal that the terminal device receives, and compares the detected position information with the beforehand registered position information to allow voting only when the pieces of the position information match each other. Consequently, electronic voting of higher security level by a portable terminal device can be actualized.
