<p>The present invention is related to an aquafeed composition with improved properties and a method for producing said feed. The aquafeed composition comprises germinated dicotyledonous seeds or sprouts lacking hemolytic activities, which seeds or sprouts act as a natural source of value increasing components, such as of enzyme activities, which increase the digestibility of plant derived components by degrading proteins, fibers, decreasing antinutritional factors (ANFs) present in plant derived components of aquafeed compositions. The germinated dicotyledonous seeds or sprouts are derived from rape or hemp. In order to produce value adding substances, such as natural colorants the seeds can be genetically modified.</p> |
