<p>A selective adsorbent for platinum group noble metals comprising nicotinamide as an effective component. The adsorbent preferably comprises an activated carbon and nicotinamide carried thereon. The adsorbent is capable of adsorbing platinum group noble metals with high selectivity from a system containing, in addition to platinum group noble metals, other base metals and noble metals, and also is advantageous in that it does not adversely affect the environment by itself.</p> |
