PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize image processing capable of accurately detecting movement of an object even when intensity of illumination changes, in a moving image. SOLUTION: This image processor 10 detects a movement vector of the object inside the moving image imaged by an imaging device 20 by use of a local correlation arithmetic method. The image processor has a moving image processing part having a background area detection part 11, a movement vector detection part 13, and a movement area labeling part 12. The image processor 10 performs the image processing for dividing image data sent from the imaging device 10 into a plurality of local areas, and detecting the movement vector by use of edge information and/or color information in the local area. Thereby, even under environment wherein the intensity change of the illumination is extreme, the movement of the object can be traced with high accuracy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
