PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which the unification of controller units for display among different resolutions can be cost-effectively attained and eventually the price reduction of the display device can be realized. SOLUTION: Two controllers 1 M and 1 S connected to each other via data buses 20 are used as the controller unit for display. The main controller 1 M stores the image data of a corresponding screen 27 L and the image data of even pixels of the screen 27 L coming to be transferred via the data bus 20 from the auxiliary controller 1 S among the image data of the odd pixels inputted thereto into a built-in line memory section 5, converts the same to output image data and transfers the image data of the screen 27 among the image data of odd pixels via the data bus 20 to the auxiliary controller 1 S.
