PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an article from coming into contact with a step difference and a projecting part and, therefore, to smoothly take out the article when the article is taken out from an opening part of one side of a folding container assembled into a box shape while the article is slid on the upper face of a bottom part. SOLUTION: In the folding container, from a condition assembled into a box shape, a pair of facing side walls 3 are laid down first in the bottom part 1 direction, and then, the other facing side walls 2 are laid down afterward in the bottom part direction to make them foldable, and the side walls to be laid down first in the bottom part direction can be laid down in the opposite direction to the bottom part direction. The side walls to be laid down first in the bottom part direction are hinged to the bottom part through connecting members 4 by a double axial rotating mechanism of an upper rotating shaft and a lower rotating shaft.
