PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidant containing dihydroferuloyl amides, useful in fields of pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, cosmetics, foods, etc., and to provide a tyrosinase activity inhibitor. SOLUTION: This antioxidant contains a compound expressed by general formula (A) (R<SP>1</SP>is H or a 1-18C hydrocarbon group; and n is an integer of 1 to 18).
